Math Fun!

What a great week! I can't believe its already June next week!

In Math this week we started talking about adding 10 to a number. We looked at how a number changes when we add 10 and played some math games to practice our addition skills! We're going to continue to work on our basic math facts with addition and subtraction through to the end of the year.

If you would like to practice some Math addiction and subtraction skills at home there are some options online!

Syxton was our Library Guest Reader!

In Language Arts we have been working on extending our sentences to create EPIC sentences. We talked about how we first tell who our sentence is about, what they are doing, when and where and their FAVOURITE question, WHY? They worked on creative writing about ducks! They named them and wrote great sentences about them.

In Social we completed and hung our mural in the hall. We revisited 1885 and talked about what life was like, and what our day would be like if we lived in 1885. Lots of students talked about how their toys were different, they would have lots of hard jobs to do and school was way different!

In Science this week we're wrapping up talking about seasonal changes in spring and summer. We are creating some beautiful art to show the 4 seasons!
